Acadian redfish are a marine deep-water fish belonging to the family Sebastidae and native to the northwestern Atlantic Ocean. They are a beautiful, red-pink skinned fish with mild, sweet white flesh and a firm, flaky texture. Acadian redfish are a good, low-fat source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
Our Acadian redfish are harvested year-round by company owned vessels from MSC-certified fisheries in Georges Bank and the Gulf of Maine.
Blue Harvest Fisheries' Acadian redfish are available fresh and 1x frozen, skin on and skin off, pin bone out in a variety of forms and pack sizes.
They can live up to 50 years and have sharp spines on their back which contain toxins that can cause irritation and localized inflammation.
